Our Approach

Discovery

We recommend starting a facilitation partnership at least three weeks before your event for adequate planning time. We’ll meet with you to learn about your unique needs, which may include interviews or other forms of data gathering. We’ll learn as much as we can about your organization, the challenges you’re facing, your hopes for the meeting and any existing anxieties. Our team will provide a lead facilitator and/or project manager to serve as your main point of contact. Additional team members, such as co-facilitators, tech hosts or assistants may be needed, based on the scale and complexity of your session.

Design

Whether it’s online, in person or hybrid, we’ll provide a basic agenda aligned to your outcomes and work with you across one or more meetings to identify the language, framing and activities that will resonate with your participants. We will design a facilitation guide that includes any language or nuances that we identify in our work together. We’ll draft a communication message that can be sent to participants and create customized templates and materials for your meeting. We specialize in designing aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-navigate online whiteboards for virtual meetings. While we don’t offer logistics coordination for planning your event, we will check in on logistics and offer suggestions as needed.

Delivery

We commit to being focused, timely and energized during the time we have with you and your team. When it comes to delivering facilitation, our role is to help participants achieve full participation, mutual understanding, inclusive solutions and shared responsibility. We’ll do our best to keep the program running as planned and are ready to pivot as needed. We’ll take the time to orient participants to any meeting technology and provide alternative options if the tools become a barrier. We’ll help create smooth transitions between each part of the agenda so participants see and feel the connection as each activity builds on the last. As conflict arises, we’ll manage it with care. As we facilitate, we highlight the skills behind what we’re doing whenever possible so you can take these nuggets back to your organization.

Destination

We see it all the time—you have a great meeting, but when you get back to the office, nothing happens. Great meetings are often overwhelming, and there’s lots to be done. It’s easy for the ball to get dropped when you’re back in the grind of the day-to-day.

As much as we recognize how normal this is, we want to prevent this from happening to you. At a minimum, we work with you post-event to review meeting outputs, and when it’s helpful, we can support follow-up by consolidating findings, creating written reports, designing visuals, and coaching to help the work move forward.
